Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für eine ECOtanka foodBOX entschieden haben, wir wünschen Ihnen viel Freude an Ihrer foodBOX.

Vor dem ersten Gebrauch:

Bitte vor der ersten Verwendung Ihre foodBOX gründlich in heißem Wasser mit Geschirrspülmittel reinigen und danach gut klarspülen und dies solange bis das gesamte Geschirrspülmittel gründlich entfernt wurde. Nach dieser ersten Handwäsche können Sie die foodBOX anschließend problemlos in der Spülmaschine reinigen.

Reinigung in der Spülmaschine: Wenn Sie Ihre foodBOX in der Spülmaschine reinigen, entfernen Sie bitte den Deckel und den Silikonboden, bevor Sie diese in die Spülmaschine geben. Wir empfehlen, den Silikonboden und Deckel von Hand zu waschen, um die Form zu erhalten, und dann nach dem Trocknen wieder auf die foodBOX zu ziehen.

Warnhinweise:

• Stellen Sie die foodBOX nicht in einen Gefrierschrank;
• Verwenden Sie die foodBOX nicht in der Mikrowelle;
• Nicht mit heißem Wasser oder heißer Flüssigkeit füllen (die Wärmeübertragung durch das Metall kann zu Verbrennungen / Verletzungen führen);
• Nicht mit heißen Speisen füllen (die Wärmeübertragung durch das Metall kann zu Verbrennungen / Verletzungen führen);
• Nicht die foodBOX auf den Kopf stellen oder auf die Seite legen, wenn sie mit einer Flüssigkeit oder schweren Gegenständen gefüllt ist.

ECOtanka foodBOX Care Instructions

Thank you for purchasing an ECOtanka foodBOX, we hope you enjoy your foodBOX and it will serve your needs for a long time to come.

What’s most important before using your foodBOX is to give it a good clean in hot water with dishwashing detergent, then rinse well until all the dishwashing detergent has been removed. After this first hand-wash, you can wash the foodBOX in a dishwasher thereafter with no problem.

Dishwasher note: If you wash your foodBOX in a dishwasher, please remove the lid and the silicone bottom before placing it in the dishwasher. The bottom silicone is recommended to wash by hand to keep the shape, then fit back on the foodBOX once dry.

It is not designed and not recommended to; however, this is up to you and at your own risk if you decide to:

• Place the foodBOX in a freezer;
• Use the foodBOX in a microwave oven;
• Fill with hot water or hot liquid (Heat transfers easily through metal and can burn your skin);
• Fill with hot food (Heat transfers easily through metal and can burn your skin);
• Turn the foodBOX upside down or sideways when filled with a liquid or heavy items.

About the 350ml Coffee Cup

The ECOtanka coffee cup was designed to encourage the change over from a paper cup to a reusable cup that is very much the same size and design as a paper cup.

The three main important design features we focused on are to keep a similar size as the standard 350ml paper cups, to make the top rim with the rolled edge in order to fit the standard 90mm single-use lids, and, of course, to give a comfortable and familiar drinking experience of most paper cups on the market. 

The cup also fits nicely under most coffee-making machines which is another functional point. 

A Step-up from Single-Use to Multiple-Use

Design Feature: The ECOtanka coffee cup's unique design allows it to fit most of the standard-and-currently-used 90mm single-use lids on the market, keeping the look and drinking experience much the same as a disposable paper cup. Some customers may prefer the familiar single-use lid until they want to fully move across to a reusable lid.

Once the drink is finished, the ECOtanka coffee cup along with the single-use lid can both be cleaned to be reused. From our observations, one single-use lid can be reused multiple times before it needs replacing. 

The ECOtanka Reusable Push-On PP Lid

ECOtanka has also designed a functional and reusable Push-On PP Lid made from high-grade PP#5 plastic (Japanese Material) that can handle high temperatures to keep drinks hot for longer in cold climates.

The Push-On PP lid has been designed to fit over the top-rolled rim (edge) much the same way the single-use lid does.  The lid does drip leak with hot liquids when upside down but should not with cold liquids.  

The opening of the drinking area is much bigger than single-use lids and an air hole allows for greater drinking flow.

All spare parts of the lid will be available for customers to purchase to reduce plastic waste in the environment.  All silicone seals have been made using a very high grade German silicone and heat-treated to EU standards.

Bamboo & Stainless Steel Lid

The bamboo and stainless-steel lid provides an alternative to plastic lids, making the cup 100% pure and environmentally friendly.

The lid is about 99% spill-proof. Please watch the video demonstration to see its performance.  

Using the bamboo & S.S. lid will keep your drink hot much longer than any other lid.  To use this lid, the cup can only be filled to 320ml in volume due to the lid depth needed for the seal to lock the lid on.

The bamboo is made from sustainable natural resources, and the stainless steel 304 18/8 grade, and the seals high-grade German silicone. The silicone seal can also be replaced to prolong the lid's lifetime and to avoid lids from ending up in landfill.

Copper-Coated Inner Layer

With the outer surface of the inner layer coated in copper, it helps to reduce heat transfer loss from the inner layer to the outer layer especially where the outer layer and inner layer are connected. The copper coating helps to keep your drink hot or cold for longer.​​​​​​​

Vacuum Insulation

The gap between the inner and the outer layers is the area we vacuum, meaning we extract all the air from this area to prevent heat transfer from the inner layer through the gap to the outer layer, and that is the main insulation of the cup. This process is what allows ​you to hold and drink from the cup without feeling the real temperature inside the cup.​​​​​​

ECOtanka Reusable Push-On PP Lid on 90mm Paper Cup

The ECOtanka Reusable Push-on PP Lid also fits all paper cups with an opening diameter of 90mm.  

The advantage of using our Push-on PP lid on a paper cup offers the following:

• Less plastic will be thrown away into our living environment.
• Spill-proof
• Better drinking flow than a single-use lid.
• Keep your drink hot longer.

Adding Colour to your Cup

The new leather look cup cover can add a different look and colour to your cup along with a different feeling when holding the cup.​​​​​​​

The cover can be left on if washed by hand or taken off to give the cover a wash.
